Ariane 5 scores its 25th consecutive success with the launch of Skynet 5C and Turksat 3A The Ariane 5 ECA was launched from the Spaceport's ELA-3 launch complex on its record-setting dual-satellite mission. The flight was Ariane 5's 25th consecutive commercial success, confirming its role as the commercial launcher of reference for satellite operators and manufacturers worldwide. Uydunun firlatilmasi daha önce 2 kez ertelenmisti. 31 Mayis'ta firlaticinin yaziliminda sorun çikmisti. Türk televizyonlarinin yayinlari Kanada'dan Çin'e kadar izlenebilecek... Roketin ateslenme islemi bilgisayar ile yapilacak. Roket 25 Boeing uçagin itme gücüne esit olan 1300 ton itme gücü ile yerden havalanacak. Roketin firlatilmasindan 2 dakika sonra tüketilen yakit miktari 500 tona ulasacak. Firlatmadan 27 dakika sonra Ingiliz Askeri uydusu SKYNET 5A, 31 dakika sonra ise TÜRKSAT 3A roketten ayrilacak. TÜRKSAT 3A uydusu 10 gün sürecek bir yolculugun ardindan "42 derece Dogu" yörüngesine yerlesecek ve uydunun kontrolü Gölbasi Uydu Yer Istasyonu'na devredilecek. Buradan gönderilecek komutlarla uydu 15 gün daha performans testlerine tabi tutulacak. UYDUNUN ÖZELLIKLERI - TÜRKSAT 3A, TÜRKSAT 1C'nin bütün trafigini ve yükünü alacak. Farkli bir yörüngede, farkli bir sekilde isletilecek olan 1C uydusu televizyonlarin ilave data aktarimi taleplerinin yerine getirilmesinde kullanilacak. - Haziran ayinda hizmete girmesi planlanan TÜRKSAT 3A'nin uydu manevra ömrü 20 yil. 2,8x2,3x1,8 metre boyutlarinda olan uydunun kanat açikligi ise 30 metre. TÜRKSAT 3A uydusunda diger uydularda olmayan "yildiz izleme" özelliginin bulunuyor. Diger uydular günese ve dünyaya bakarak yerini hesaplarken, TÜRKSAT 3A uydusu ise yildizlari izleyerek yerini hesapliyor. - Üretimi için ilk resmi girisim 2005 yili Nisan ayinda baslatilan TÜRKSAT 3A, 200 milyon dolara mal oldu. Yeni uydunun tasarim, entegrasyon ve test asamalarina paralel sekilde yürütülen teknoloji transferi ve egitim projesinde 22 Türk mühendis de görev aldi. Böylece, bundan sonra TÜRKSAT için üretilecek uydularin Türk mühendislerce tasarlanabilmesi yolunda, ilk ve en önemli adim atilmis oldu. - TÜRKSAT 3A, Avrupa, Türkiye'nin tamami ve Asya'yi kapsama altina alacak. Uydu, Türkiye ile birlikte Avrupa, Orta Dogu, Kuzey Afrika, Orta Asya ve Çin'e kadar uzanan genis bir kapsama alaninda, televizyon yayinciligi ile birlikte internet, ses ve data aktarimlari için kullanilacak. - Dogu ve Bati kapsama alanlari arasinda dogrudan anahtarlanabilme özelligine sahip olan TÜRKSAT 3A, bu özelligi ile kapsama alani içerisinde dünyanin herhangi bir bölgesinden verilen bir yayinin, dünyanin baska bir bölgesine aktarimini gerçeklestirebilecek. - TÜRKSAT 3A üzerinden VSAT uygulamalarinda kurumsal müsteriler 50-60 santimetre gibi küçük çapli antenlerle yayin alabilecek ve 1 watlik HPA'larla uplink yapabilecek. Bu özelligi ile TÜRKSAT 3A, VSAT kurulumlarinda önemli oranda maliyet azalmasina imkan taniyacak. TÜRKSAT 3A, 1296 megahertzlik pazarlanabilir kapasiteye sahip olacak. Bu kapasite, TÜRKSAT 1C uydusunun yaklasik iki kati büyüklükte. TÜRKSAT 3A'nin, bu kapasitesi ile ortalama 200 yeni televizyon kanali yayin yapabilecek. - TÜRKSAT 3A'nin 42 derece Dogu lokasyonunda devreye girmesiyle mevcut televizyon, radyo ve VSAT aktarimlari çok yüksek hiz ve kalitede gerçeklestirilebilecek. Yüksek çözünürlüklü (HD) yayinlarin iletilmesi ile ilgili çok iyi bir altyapiya kavusulmus olacak.
