Stand
Alone Applications
Stand-alone applications
are hosted on a company's server enabling multiple clients to access
and process the data using local applications. Data relating to the
customers vehicles could either be delivered to the customers server
or pulled from the Traffiq database on demand. Data transmission to
the vehicle, polling requests and messaging services would also be managed
within the customers network. Typical differentiators which would determine
if a customer required stand alone applications and control are likely
to include:
- Customers who
require access to the data and applications by multiple personnel
- Fleet management
of medium to large fleets (typically above 10)
- Customers with
specific security and or confidentiality requirements.
- The need for
extensive post processing and archiving of the data
- System applications
where vehicle tracking is a small aspect of a larger system
- E.g. Automatic
bus management, dynamic advertising, Dynamic navigation
