iDirect X1 modem IP problem

Respected sir,


I have one new x1 modem .I connected with my computer and fixed default IP 192.168.0.1 but not pinging ..As Dhcp it's showing 169.254.156.8 IP after fixed then not pinging ....
Not if I reset to the X1 iDirect modem then My computer take Dhcp 192.168.0.1 and pinging properly... If I do power off then again modem take another IP 169.... And again reset to it taking 192.168.0.1 IP ...

Please solve my problem and give me suggestions here sir...

Hello
The modem should have 192.168.0.1 and the pc should take 192.168.0.2
The gateway will be the modem
Is this the case?
