Hi,

It seems to me that there is increasing growth in mobile broadband and mobile satellite communications. This translates to increasing demand for small mobile VSAT platforms and the associated satellite services.

Potentially the market is huge but has always been there so perhaps the technology has now evolved and become affordable even in these harsh economic times. Smaller, cheaper and more reliable, just like mobile phones. Infact, there is even now renewed interest in the mobile satellite phone market.

That's just my view on the world.

Steve.

There is a renewed push into MEO and LEO, as distinct from GEO, satellite systems again, to enable smaller, lower power user terminals and handsets. The need for ever-increasing bandwidths and IP is making the satellite business reinvent the user terminal to look more and more like an 'ordinary' cable set-topbox or a 2.5/3G mobile phone. Cheers.
