Curriculum Vitae - Steve Jones - Consultant Systems EngineerPersonal Profile
Steve joined the Royal Signals and Radar Establishment in 1985 and has primarily worked in Satellite Communications & Information Technology for the Defence Industry for the past 20 years. He is currently a consultant systems engineer and also owns the Satcoms UK website promoting the Satcoms Industry worldwide. Steve has extensive experience in satellite communications ground segment engineering for airborne and ground based vehicle mounted satcom systems and more generally with communications network system engineering. He also has many years of experience with the integration of bespoke and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment with new and existing legacy systems for rapid solutions for voice and data communications. He has a working knowledge of software design and coding and has previously coded with engineering development languages such as Visual Basic for rapid prototyping of software tools and Graphical User Interface (GUI) design.
