BER Calculation
BER is the Bit Error Rate of a digital data transmission.
This is the ratio of errors to the number of bits transmitted.
BER = the number of errors in the number of bits
Example:
BER = 100 errors in 1000 bits = 100 / 1000 = 0.01
This is expressed as 1 error in 10 to the power of -2 = 1.0 E-2.
