Satellite Communications often involve connecting Computer Networks internationally. The Wide Area Network or Network Cloud is sometimes accessed using a satellite link.
 
This course is appropriate for anyone new to networking and looking to learn the basics, as well as anyone wanting to brush up on a particular topic. This course includes a comprehensive glossary of terms that explain the lingo as it relates to the topic being covered.     • Routing data through a network using longest match routing
  • WAN technologies
    • Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP)
    • Frame Relay
    • Asynchronous Transfer Mode(ATM)
    • Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
  • Transport Layer protocols
    • User Datagram Protocol (UDP)
    • Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)

Upon completing this program, users will have a working understanding of how networks work as well as the technologies that make networks possible.
