Xantic has announced a new Credit Control Tool available for Regional BGAN users over Xantic’s own Access Control Point infrastructure. Service providers can now minimise their financial risks by managing the end-use of both individual cards and groups of cards.Regional BGAN is an extremely portable and robust high-speed data service via satellite, offering significant financial savings. It is also exceptionally simple to use: All that is required is to connect a Regional BGAN terminal to a PC or PDA and point the antenna in the direction of the satellite. In order to deliver Valued Added Services for Regional BGAN, Xantic was the first LESO to build its own Access Control Point (ACP). This provides Regional BGAN users with better cost control, online firewall management, a Public IP range to support all types of VPN access, and enhanced security. Moreover, thanks to the implementation of this infrastructure, Xantic's Regional BGAN customers have access to extra services such as Traffic and Billing Explorer (TaB), an application for monitoring Inmarsat traffic, and AMOS Connect, a sophisticated messaging service. Xantic’s web-based Credit Control Tool is the latest addition to this exceptional value added portfolio. It allows users to fully manage all SIM cards on their account, with functionalities such as setting or changing names, establishing and managing groups, manually suspending or reactivating cards, setting balance limits, and setting alert thresholds. Easily facilitating personalised pre-paid solutions, the Credit Control Tool is exclusively available to Xantic customers. One of the pioneers in using this tool has been Atlas Telecommunications from Dubai. “Xantic’s new online tool allows us to accurately manage the balance and activities of all our cards and customers,” comments Sales Manager Nasser Al-Rahhal. “In doing so, we reduce our possible credit risks and enjoy full control over the service.” Editor’s note: Xantic was formed by the merger between Station 12, Telstra Global Satellite, SpecTec and KPN Broadcast. By combining the knowledge, expertise and skills of four top companies, Xantic has created an unrivalled portfolio of solutions in an area known as CAT: Content, Applications and Transactions. As a result, Xantic is one of the world’s leading satellite communication providers, offering high level ICT and CAT oriented solutions to all those who work in a business to business environment. Xantic operates two Earth Stations – one in The Netherlands (Burum) and one in Australia (Perth). With offices and agents in more than 29 countries, Xantic provides customers with premium service and quality, wherever they are in the world.
