Internet Via Satellite

To explore Internet becomes easier and faster if you have
a small satellite dish ( 60 cm ). Satellite Internet providers like Europe On Line ( EOL)
offer services reaching the amazing speed of 2Mb/sec !
This represents a speed 200 times faster than an ordinary telephone modem.

The advantage of having Internet via satellite is first of all the high speed of collecting the information.
You will still need the standard telephone connection to make your demand
on the Net, but the reply will come with high debit from the satellite. ( up to 2 Mbits/sec)
Bi-directional satellite connection exist as well but it's cost is relatively high.

Satellite communication systems now provide a wider range of services with ever-increasing functionality, data rates, mobility and security; all at lower costs than ever before.  As well as the satellites themselves, these satcom systems demand increasingly complex user terminals, ground stations and test equipment.  One example of this is Inmarsat’s BGAN system, which provides 3G services using sophisticated, high-efficiency modulation and channel-coding schemes to provide secure circuit-switched and packet-switched services at rates up to 492kBits/second.
